The Teenage Brain - Go Figure!

Teaching teenagers is, perhaps, one of the most challenging tasks for any teacher, not only because of their unpredictable teenage behavior but also their hormonal changes. But what about the brain? How does it change, and what can we teachers do to keep teenagers motivated? In this talk, we will discuss some features of teenage behavior and share some ideas on how to make our lessons more meaningful and, therefore, remarkable to them.

Hulgo Freitas has been working as an English teacher for almost eight years now, focusing particularly on teenagers and adults. He is a mentor at Cultura Inglesa Rio in GoiĆ¢nia/GO, and a teacher at CEI Flora. Hulgo is also a Speaking Examiner for Cambridge English.
